created this video to show ways to use with ELL students..
ideas are applicable elsewhere - whatever you can imagine...






Hard to believe that I have been using SMARTboards for almost seven years.  I still value the amazing interactive opportunities that SMART has brought to my classroom.  I know that with the growing popularity of ipads (and presentation capability of Apple tv) in classrooms, some are poo-pooing the value of the interactive whiteboard.

Don't get me wrong - iPads are great too!

But in this age of diverse technological opportunities, educators have so much choice when it comes to differentiating content.  It is not unusual in my class to have partners working on ipads, but also small groups interacting with the smartboard. The smartboard still offers up the gross motor kinesthetic experience and easily caters to small and large group work.
